It is true that we can learn a lesson from everything we endure.
We have a choice to let our experiences make us better or make us bitter.
Romans 8:28 promises us that ALL things work together for our good. That means no matter who does what to us, or what hard times we endure- we know that good will come from it.
Some people we come in contact with can teach us patience, and even how to pray through hard times. We are told to bless those who curse us, and pray for those who despitefully use us. (Matthew 5:44)
Genesis 50:20 says, “But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive.”
God is such a good God that no matter what has been done against us, He can in fact make good come out of anything. He promises to restore to us the years that the locust ate. (Joel 2:25)
We can hang on to the many promises that God has given us; to cause good to come from any occurrence in our life. The positive side of our hard times is that it creates for us a testimony. Many people come to know Christ for the testimonies we share with them.
When we tell of God’s goodness and all that He has brought us through- it gives hope to the most “hopeless” situation.
