Sacrifice. What does it mean? If you look at the recent Nike ad for clarification, it would seem to indicate having the courage to stand up for yourself and overcome obstacles in front of you in order to achieve worldly success and athletic triumphs. The Nike ad, as you have likely seen on TV or social media, features the tagline “believe in something, even if it means sacrificing everything.” However, the something that you believe in or Someone, is more important than any physical or worldly achievement you could hope to obtain. The Tim Tebow Foundation recently posted a video of Tim Tebow himself explaining how Jesus made the ultimate sacrifice and we can rest on His work to get us through anything and everything in life.

JESUS PAID THE ULTIMATE SACRIFICE

Although the Nike ad says we sacrifice everything when we stand up for something, Jesus is really the one who sacrificed and the Father also by sending His son to be our savior. Tim explains how Jesus gave us His all, so we can have life more abundantly and that there is no time in which we are on our own. We have hope, always, because of His sacrifice. What a glories message! Jesus is on our side! Therefore, even when everything in life seems to be going wrong and nothing is as we think it should be, we can know that we have the ultimate M.V.P in the game, Who is willing to leave it all on the field and help us win at life.

WHAT THE BIBLE SAYS ABOUT PUTTING OUR HOPE IN JESUS AS OUR ULTIMATE SACRIFICE

In Isaiah 40:31, God’s word says, “…but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.”

Jesus Is On Your Side

"May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit." – Romans 15:13
